I can get focused or honed in on something (a lot of times good things). I work on it, work on it, work on it, and that becomes me. That is my life. It becomes what I call "my thing", God does not allow "my thing." He only allows Himself. When we look down and find that if we did not have this then we feel we would be either lost/alone/without a purpose etc. Then there is something wrong, we cannot let one thing dominate us- let it rule us. Because then we become the little child who is holding on to the candy bar screaming "I want it" I want it". When anything has such importance in our life other than Jesus we need to evaluate it's importance and value. And see, are we grasping?

My Thing
I have several siblings still in training and there are plenty of times when they do not get what they want (surprise)
. Sometimes when this occurs a fit ensues with crying, screaming and carrying on. And I think, if they could only see the big picture, if they would only look outside of what they want right now! But the Lord has shown me how I can do the exact same thing. ME? How?
I can get focused or honed in on something (a lot of times good things). I work on it, work on it, work on it, and that becomes me. That is my life. It becomes what I call "my thing", God does not allow "my thing." He only allows Himself. Because then we become the little child who is holding on to the candy bar screaming "I want it" I want it".
